Bringing One Back To Life Part 3
After sanding the frame, forks and swing arm, they were wiped down and hung up on the paint racks. Two coats of Duplicolor primer, two coats of Duplicolor Paint Shop lacquer and three coats of clear were applied and left to dry. These bikes are nice because there are so few parts to prep for paint. Painting took place over a period of about 3 hours. It needs to harden for a week before you can wet sand. The colour was called deep blue metallic, sold at CTC by the US quart.
